Khelaram Datar Mandir or Khelaram Datar Temple is situated in Nawabgonj of Dhaka district. Khelaram Datar Mandir is also known as Khalaram Datar Kotha. It is one of the oldest architecture inside Dhaka district of Bangladesh situated in Nawabganj of Dohar Thana. There is no appropriate source of creation date of Khelaram Datar Mandir. But from the construction style specialists assumes it may constructed between end of Nineteenth & start of twentieth century. The construction style matches with the Mughal construction style, as well as European combination. You will find the architecture is colored white now but earlier the primary color of the building was Red. The architecture is made of 4 rooms & the building is 2 storied. The architecture was built in a way that sunshine & lights can’t enter inside the house. Some people says this architecture is actually 4 storied & rest 2 floor is now under the ground.

There is a very interesting myth regards this ancient temple.

Myth: Khelaram Data was renowned merchant of this area. And he was great fond & pursuant of his mother. And as well as he was renowned for his beneficence to locals. Once his mother prepared some foods & cakes for him and asked him to have bath before having the foods. Khelaram went to their own mere in front of their own house. And suddenly there was a huge screaming. Khelaram was missing from then. After a while locals rescued him from the mere but Khelaram was discovered dead.
